Dear St. Lawrence Families,
It’s hard to believe another summer break has come and gone, but we are glad to be back here once again at St. Lawrence School. As many of you know, the Spring Gala is a HUGE source of funding for our school and athletics program, and we couldn’t make this event a success without the support of our parents.
It is time once again to start the planning process for the 2012 Spring Gala and we are looking to fill some vacancies on the committee as well as take on some new volunteers and positions. The planning of the Gala does not require a lot of your time outside of your home; we meet for a few hours once a month from October thru April in the Parish Office.
We are looking for new, fresh ideas, and all input is accepted and appreciated. Some areas we are specifically looking to fill are:
Silent Auction Coordination: team of two or more
Decorations: team of three or more
Classroom Projects Coordination: team of three or more
Basket Coordination: team of two or more
Advertisement Solicitation: team of two or more
Sponsorship Coordination: one or more
Volunteer Coordination: team of two
You may also choose to simply join the committee as support and then choose your team as you get more comfortable with the responsibilities involved. One thing we ask is that you plan to put an honest effort into the process as it takes a lot to make it as wonderful as it has been in past years. Our goal is to simply make the most money for the school and athletics department so our children can benefit from that.
