ST. LAWRENCE
CONTINUING RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (C.R.E.)
The C.R.E. program at St. Lawrence includes Kindergarten through Grade 8. Kindergarten is not a mandatory class, but children are expected to begin their formal religious education in the First Grade.
SPECIAL NEEDS RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Children who have special needs are welcome to attend one-on-one sessions with specially trained Catechists. Contact the C.R.E. office for more information.
RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR CHILDREN (R.C.I.A. for CHILDREN)
This program is for children who are of school age but have not been baptized, or who have been baptized but never attended formal religious education. Contact the C.R.E. office for more information.

Classes begin on Monday, September 27th and continue through the week of April 18, 2011. All classes are held in the St. Lawrence School.
Registration
In order to register for the CRE program you must be a member of St. Lawrence Parish unless you are a Special Needs Family. Tuition requirements and fees are listed on the forms.

Confirmation: 8th Grade and up
This preparation is open to eighth graders who have completed seventh grade religious education.
The sacrament is celebrated in the fall of the following year.

First Reconciliation
Preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation is done during the first semester of Grade 2 for children who have successfully completed first grade religious education.
Parent/Guardian is required to attend an informational meeting. Refer to the C.R.E. calendar.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated in December.

Preparation for First Communiont is done during the second semester of Grade 2 for children who have successfully completed first grade religious education.
Parent/Guardian is required to attend an informational meeting. Refer to the C.R.E. calendar.
First Eucharist is celebrated the first Satuday in May.
